KENTWOOD MAN SENTENCED TO 10 YEARS FOR FEDERAL GUN AND DRUG CHARGES
PABLO BALDERAS, 21, a resident of Kentwood, was sentenced to ten (10) years (120 months) today in federal court by U. S. District Judge Stanwood R. Duval, Jr. for possessing with intent to distribute five grams or more of crack cocaine and possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, announced U. S. Attorney Jim Letten.
According to court records, BALDERAS previously pled guilty admitting that on September 2, 2009, he distributed five grams or more of crack cocaine. Additionally, he intentionally possessed a .38 caliber Smith & Wesson handgun, in furtherance of the drug trafficking crime.
The case was investigated by Special Agents of the Drug Enforcement Administration. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U. S. Attorney Andre’ Jones.
