MEMPHIS RESIDENT PLEADS GUILTY TO DISTRIBUTION OF COCAINE
ROBERT LEE, a/k/a/ Raazaan Muhammed, 63, a resident of Memphis, Tennessee, pled guilty today in federal court before U. S. District Judge Martin L. C. Feldman to conspiracy to distribute and distribution of cocaine hydrochloride, announced U. S. Attorney Jim Letten.
According to the factual basis, LEE admitted that sometime before October 31, 2009, he conspires with other to possess and distribute five hundred grams or more of cocaine hydrochloride. Also, LEE admitted that on October 31, 2009, he intentionally distributed a quantity of cocaine hydrochloride.
The defendant faces a possible maximum sentence of sixty (60) years imprisonment, $3 million in fines and up to seven (7) years of supervised release. Sentencing has been scheduled for June 3, 2010.
The investigation is being conducted by Special Agents of the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U. S. Attorney Andre’ Jones.
