FOUR JEFFERSON PARISH MEN SENTENCED TO FEDERAL PRISON FOR DRUG VIOLATIONS
FELTON WILLIAMS, age 31, TROY WILLIAMS, age 26, DARTAGNAN COLEMAN, age 28, and CHARLES WALKER, age 20, all residents of Marrero, Louisiana, were sentenced yesterday by U. S. District Judge Lance M. Africk to federal prison violation of the Federal Controlled Substances Act, announced U. S Attorney Jim Letten. FELTON WILLIAMS was sentenced to 20 years (240 months) imprisonment and 10 years of supervised release; TROY WILLIAMS was sentenced to over eleven years (136 months) imprisonment and 5 years of supervised release; DARTAGNAN COLEMAN was sentenced to 10 years (120 months) imprisonment and 5 years of supervised release;, and CHARLES WALKER was sentenced to six (6) months imprisonment and 3 years of supervised release, for their roles in a conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of cocaine base (crack) and 500 grams or more of cocaine hydrochloride. During the terms of supervised release, the defendants will be under federal supervision and risk additional terms of imprisonment should they violate any terms of their supervised release.
According to court documents, on September 17, 2009, CHARLES WALKER, TROY WILLIAMS, DARTAGNAN COLEMAN, and FELTON WILLIAMS entered guilty pleas before Judge Africk admitting that they worked together to purchase large quantities of narcotics and then sell those drugs for profit. After sentencing, TROY WILLIAMS, DARTAGNAN COLEMAN, and FELTON WILLIAMS were remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal’s Service to begin their terms of imprisonment and CHARLES WALKER was allowed to self-surrender at a later date.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U. S. Attorney Sean Toomey.
