KANSAS CITY MAN SENTENCED FOR SELLING CRACK COCAINE

KANSAS CITY, KAN. – Michael O. Jones, 30, Kansas City, Kan., has been sentenced to 84 months on federal drug charges.

Jones pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine. In his plea, he admitted that on Aug. 11, 2008, he sold crack cocaine to an agent of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives who was posing as the owner of a pawn shop.

Co-defendant Angela Jones was sentenced to 84 months.

U.S. Attorney Lanny Welch commended the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Trent Krug for their work on the case.
