RUSH COUNTY MAN SENTENCED FOR BANK FRAUD
WICHITA, KAN. – Patrick J. Renz, 45, Rush Center, Kan., has been sentenced to 15 months for bank fraud, U.S. Attorney Lanny Welch said today.
Renz pleaded guilty. In his plea, he admitted that from Aug. 31, 2006, through June 29, 2007, he obtained loans from Community Bank of the Midwest in Otis, Kan. Renz fraudulently claimed to own cattle that the bank accepted as collateral on the loan. He defaulted on the loans owing the bank $184,385.
The FBI investigated and U.S. Attorney Lanny Welch prosecuted.
