PENSACOLA, FLORIDA - United States Attorney Pamela C. Marsh, Northern District of Florida, announced today that TERRENCE L. WATSON, 30, and SENICA C. HERBERT, 34, both of Pensacola, were sentenced yesterday to life in prison by Senior United States District Judge Lacy Collier following their convictions for participating in a narcotics conspiracy involving five (5) kilograms or more of cocaine. These are the latest in twenty-plus convictions stemming from related Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) prosecutions by the United States Attorneys Office in Pensacola over the last two years.

To date this series of OCDETF cases has resulted in federal convictions for residents of Texas, Alabama, and Florida, including several defendants with direct ties to organized crime in Mexico. The convictions have resulted in four (4) life sentences and five (5) sentences of twenty years or more, on charges involving narcotics, firearms, and related violence.

Listed below are some of those sentenced in related OCDETF cases in U.S. District Court in Pensacola. The investigations leading to these convictions were jointly conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the Pensacola Police Department (PPD), the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office (ECSO). The Pensacola prosecutions have all been handled by Assistant United States Attorney Thomas P. Swaim.
