JASON KAY ADVISED OF CHARGES PENDING AGAINST HIM AND ORDERED RELEASED

Jason Kay, age 38, of Longmont, Colorado, appeared this afternoon in U.S. District Court in Denver before U.S. Magistrate Judge Kathleen M. Tafoya, where he was advised of the charges pending against him.  Kay is alleged to have removed and replaced product labels on bottles of Gatorade.  Kay was ordered released by Magistrate Judge Tafoya on a personal recognizance bond.  He also waived his right to a preliminary hearing.  The next scheduled court date for Kay is February 11, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. for a status conference.
