Drug Dealer Sentenced

Anchorage, Alaska – United States Attorney Karen L. Loeffler announced today that an Anchorage man was sentenced in federal court in Anchorage for his conviction of conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

On January 18, 2011, Naron Celestine, a.k.a. “Cole”, 40, a resident of Anchorage, Alaska, was sentenced by Senior United States District Judge H. Russel Holland to 188 months in prison for his participation in a conspiracy to distribute five kilograms of cocaine.

According to information presented to the court by Assistant U.S. Attorney and Lead OCDETF Attorney Stephan A. Collins, Celestine pled guilty to conspiring with Steven Lamont Riley and Tillman Bradley, III, to distribute multiple kilograms of cocaine in 2005. As part of his sentence, Celestine also forfeited a gold and diamond medallion valued at close to $100,000, that according to the Anchorage Police Department, is alleged to have been at the center of the disturbance that resulted in the shooting death of Joe Alford Young at the Sport’s Authority in Anchorage during the summer of 2009. Judge Holland previously sentenced Riley to 60 months in prison. Bradley continues to remain a fugitive.

Ms. Loeffler commended the Anchorage Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Celestine
