Oklahoma Woman Sentenced for Embezzlement and Theft from an Indian Tribal Organization (U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Oklahoma) 

U.S. Attorney Mark F. Green announced that during a federal court session in Muskogee, Okla., on April 6, 2011, before U.S. District Judge Ronald A. White, Shirley Lynn Stout, a 50 year-old resident of Talihina, Okla., was sentenced to three years probation, with the first eight months to be served on home detention. Stout was sentenced in connection with her conviction of embezzlement and theft from an Indian tribal organization.

U.S. Attorney Mark F. Green announced that during a federal court session in Muskogee, Okla., on April 6, 2011, before U.S. District Judge Ronald A. White, Jacqueline Denise Smith, a 45-year-old resident of Hugo, Okla., was sentenced to three years probation. Smith was sentenced in connection with her conviction of embezzlement and theft from an Indian tribal organization.

Oklahoma Man Sentenced for Producing Child Pornography (U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Oklahoma)

U.S. Attorney Sanford C. Coats announced that during a federal court session in Oklahoma City, on April 6, 2011, before U.S. District Judge Robin J. Cauthron, Frederick George Hoffman III, 35, was sentenced to 360 months in prison. Hoffman was sentenced in connection with his conviction for producing child pornography.

Wisconsin Man Sentenced for Assault of a Federal Officer (U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin)

U.S. Attorney James L. Santelle announced that during a federal court session in Neopit, Wis., on April 6, 2011, before U.S. District Judge William C. Griesbach, Jerry B. Nahwahquaw, an 18-year-old resident of Neopit, was sentenced to 36 months in prison, $2,283.65 in restitution, a $100 special assessment and three years of supervised.  Nahwahquaw was sentenced in connection for his conviction of assaulting a Menominee Tribal Police officer and damaging a Menominee Tribal Police squad car.

New Mexico Man Sentenced for DUI-Related Involuntary Manslaughter (U.S. Attorney for the District of New Mexico)

U.S. Attorney Kenneth J. Gonzales announced during a federal court session in Albuquerque, N.M., on April 6, 2011, Tommy Morgan, a 29-year old resident of Albuquerque, N.M., was sentenced to 12 months in prison and three years of supervised release. Gonzales was sentenced in connection with his conviction of involuntary manslaughter.

New Mexico Men Plead Guilty to Second Degree Murder Charges (U.S. Attorney for the District of New Mexico)

U.S. Attorney Kenneth J. Gonzales announced during a federal court session in Albuquerque, N.M., on April 7, 2011, Tyrus Begaye, 34 and Darnell Begay, 36, entered guilty pleas to second degree murder charges. Each man faces 151 to 188 months in prison at sentencing.

North Dakota Men Indicted for Embezzlement and Theft from an Indian Tribal Organization (U.S. Attorney for the District of North Dakota)

U.S. Attorney Timothy Q. Purdon announced during a federal court session in Grand Folks, N.D., on March 31, 2011, before U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge Alice R. Senechal, Justin Yankton, 37, and Brooke Lynette Black, 28, were charged with embezzlement and theft from an Indian tribal organization and false statements.

Colorado Man Sentenced for Domestic Assault (U.S. Attorney for the District of Colorado)

U.S. Attorney James Candelaria announced during a federal court session in Denver on April 4, 2011, before by U.S. District Judge Marcia S. Krieger, Christopher L. Romero, a 36-year-old resident of Ignacio, Colo., was sentenced to 37 months in prison. Romero was sentenced in connection with his conviction of committing domestic assault by a habitual offender.

South Dakota Man pleads guilty to Assaulting Father (U.S. Attorney for the District of South Dakota)

U.S. Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced during a federal court session in Norris, S.D., on April 11, 2011, before U.S. District Judge Roberto A. Lange, Russell F. Eagle Bear III, a 28-year-old-resident of Norris, was charged with assault resulting in serious bodily injury.  Eagle Bear faces up to 10 years in prison; a $250,000 fine; three years of supervised release; and a $100 special assessment.  Restitution may also be ordered.

South Dakota Man Sentenced for Bribery (U.S. Attorney for the District of South Dakota)

U.S. Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced during a federal court session in Pierre, S.D., on April 11, 2011, before U.S. District Judge Roberto A. Lange, Edward Washburn, a 59-year-old Pierre resident, was sentenced to 12 months and one day in custody; 3 years of supervised release; $7,500 restitution to the Cheyenne River Housing Authority; a $10,800 fine and a $100 special assessment. Washburn was sentenced in connection with his conviction with bribery charges.

South Dakota Man Sentenced for Sexual Abuse (U.S. Attorney for the District of South Dakota)

U.S. Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced during a federal court session in Pierre, S.D., on April 11, 2011, before U.S. District Judge Roberto A. Lange, Floyd Black Spotted Horse, a 43-year-old Rosebud resident, was sentenced to 108 months in prison, eight years of supervised release, and a special assessment of $100 to the Victim Assistance Fund.  Floyd Black Spotted Horse was sentenced in connection with his conviction of sexual abuse.
