ON THE RETIREMENT OF DEA ADMINISTRATOR THOMAS CONSTANTINE


WASHINGTON, D.C. - Thomas A. Constantine announced today that he was retiring as the Administrator of the Drug Enforcement Administration. Attorney General Janet Reno issued the following statement:

"Tom has served the Department of Justice with distinction for the past five years. He has upheld the high standards of integrity and conduct within the agency, which has experienced significant growth over his tenure. I am going to miss his tough, straight-forward style."
