The HIDTA county in Illinois is Rock Island County.

The HIDTA counties in Iowa are: Black Hawk, Linn, Marshall, Muscatine, Polk, Pottawattamie, Scott, and Woodbury counties.

The HIDTA counties in Kansas are: Barton, Cherokee, Crawford, Finney, Franklin, Johnson, Labette, Leavenworth, Miami, Saline, Sedgwick, Seward, Shawnee, and Wyandotte counties.

The HIDTA counties in Missouri are: Boone, Buchanan, Cape Girardeau, Christian, Clay, Cole, Franklin, Greene, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Marion, Platte, Scott, St. Charles, St. Louis, and Texas counties and St. Louis City.

The HIDTA counties in Nebraska are: Dakota, Dawson, Dodge, Douglas, Gage, Hall, Jefferson, Lancaster, Madison, Platt, Sarpy, and Scotts Bluff counties.

The HIDTA counties in North Dakota are: Burleigh, Cass, Grand Forks, Morton, Ramsey, Richland, Walsh, and Ward counties.

The HIDTA counties in South Dakota are: Beadle, Brookings, Brown, Clay, Codington, Custer, Lawrence, Lincoln, Meade, Minnehaha, Pennington, Union, and Yankton counties.

In South Dakota, 38 clandestine methamphetamine laboratories were seized in 2003; 29 in 2004; 16 in 2005; 11 in 2006; and 7 in 2007.

In North Dakota, 249 clandestine methamphetamine laboratories were seized in 2003; 232 in 2004; 163 in 2005; 39 in 2006; and 18 in 2007.

In Nebraska, 257 clandestine methamphetamine laboratories were seized in 2003; 268 in 2004; 248 in 2005; 31 in 2006; and 19 in 2007.

In Missouri, 2,885 clandestine methamphetamine laboratories were seized in 2003; 2,816 in 2004; 2,243 in 2005; 1,288 in 2006; and 1,258 in 2007.

In Kansas, 646 clandestine methamphetamine laboratories were seized in 2003; 605 in 2004; 382 in 2005; 171 in 2006; and 94 in 2007.

In Iowa, 1,326 clandestine methamphetamine laboratories were seized in 2003; 1,432 in 2004; 764 in 2005; 321 in 2006; and 139 in 2007.

In Illinois, 762 clandestine methamphetamine laboratories were seized in 2003; 1,133 in 2004; 954 in 2005; 775 in 2006; and 369 in 2007.

150-218 methamphetamine laboratories were seized in one county, Jefferson County. 50-149 methamphetamine laboratories were seized in three counties, Saint Francois, Saint Charles, and Lincoln Counties. 15-49 methamphetamine laboratories were seized in 18 counties. 1-14 methamphetamine laboratories were seized in 71 counties. No data was available for 21 counties.

Kansas City and St. Louis, Missouri; and Omaha, Nebraska are cities with populations between 250,000 and 499,999. Independence and Springfield, Missouri; Kansas City, Overland Park, and Topeka, Kansas; Des Moines, Iowa; and Peoria and Springfield, Illinois, are cities with populations between 100,000 and 249,999.

Interstate highways in the area are I-29, I-35, I-39, I-40, I-44, I-55, I-64, I-70, I-72, I-74, I-80, and I-155.

There are 18 U.S.-Canada border crossings in North Dakota, located from west to east at Fortuna, Ambrose, Noonan, Portal, Northgate, Sherwood, Antler, Westhope, Carbury, Dunseith, St. John, Hansboro, Sarles, Hannah, Maida, Walhalla, Neche, and Pembina. Major interstates that traverse the region include Interstates 29, 35, 44, 55, 70, 80, 90, and 94. US 54 is a U.S. Highway that crosses Kansas and Missouri.

There are 4 cities with populations between 250,000 and 499,999 in the HIDTA--Omaha, Nebraska; St. Louis and Kansas City, Missouri; and Wichita, Kansas. Although they are not located within the Midwest HIDTA, Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota are located near the HIDTA, and can be reached via Interstates 35 and 94. Interstate 90 connects with Interstate 35, and provides access from Minneapolis and St. Paul to South Dakota.

Cities in the HIDTA with populations between 100,000 and 249,999 are Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Lincoln, Nebraska; Cedar Rapids and Des Moines, Iowa; Kansas City, Overland Park, and Topeka, Kansas; and Independence and Springfield, Missouri. Cities of this size that are in near the HIDTA are Madison, Wisconsin and Rockford, Peoria, and Springfield, Illinois.

Other cities of interest within the HIDTA are Bismarck, Grand Forks, and Fargo, North Dakota; Rapid City, South Dakota; Sioux City, Iowa; South Sioux City and Grand Island, Nebraska.
