Seattle is a major city with over 250,000 people. Bellevue, Tacoma, Spokane, and Vancouver are major cities with 100,000-249,999 people. Everett, Kent, Federal Way, Richland, Pasco, and Kennewick are major cities with less than 100,000 people.

The border crossings are Danville, Point Roberts, Blaine, Lynden, Sumas, Nighthawk, Oroville, Ferry, Laurier, Route S25, Boundary, and Metaline Falls.

Seattle is a major seaport.

Seattle-Tacoma, Spokane, and Portland are the International Airports.

The interstates within this region are I-5, I-82, I-84, and I-90.

In 2003, the combined adult and youth drug treatment admissions were 5,413 for methamphetamine, 6,419 for marijuana, 2,789 for cocaine, and 2,239 for heroin.

In 2004, the combined adult and youth drug treatment admissions were 5,925 for methamphetamine, 6,763 for marijuana, 3,006 for cocaine, and 2,485 for heroin.

In 2005, the combined adult and youth drug treatment admissions were 7,358 for methamphetamine, 6,941 for marijuana, 3,356 for cocaine, and 3,554 for heroin.
