DOJ/FTC HEARINGS TO HIGHLIGHT U.S. COURT OF APPEALS FOR THE
FEDERAL CIRCUIT PERSPECTIVES ON THE INTERSECTION BETWEEN
ANTITRUST AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LAW AND POLICY
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Department of Justice's Antitrust Division and the Federal Trade Commission today announced times, location, and participants for the July 10 and July 11, 2002 sessions in their joint hearings on "Competition and Intellectual Property Law
and Policy in the Knowledge-Based Economy." These sessions will explore the jurisprudence of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, including substantive trends and analysis, the Court's jurisdiction, and its choice of law decisions. The general public and press
are invited to attend. Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Written comments from interested parties may be submitted to the FTC.
