Welcome to the homepage of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. The U.S. Attorney’s Office is responsible for guiding investigations and prosecuting violations of federal criminal law, prosecuting and/or defending civil actions in which the United States is a party, and collecting debts owed to the United States which are administratively uncollectable. We strive to protect and serve the people of the Eastern District with professionalism, integrity, and excellence.
The Eastern District is comprised of 26 counties (Adair, Atoka, Bryan, Carter, Cherokee, Choctaw, Coal, Haskell, Hughes, Johnston, Latimer, Le Flore, Love, Marshall, McCurtain, McIntosh, Murray, Muskogee, Okfuskee, Okmulgee, Pittsburg, Pontotoc, Pushmataha, Seminole, Sequoyah, and Wagoner) rich in natural beauty and genuine hospitality. The Eastern District is unique in that it is the only district in the country which is entirely Indian country. As such, the U.S. Attorney’s Office embraces the federal government’s trust responsibility to the sovereign Tribal Nations headquartered in the Eastern District.
